The Goal

Creating a dark, cinematic visual identity

The goal of this project was to design a book cover that feels atmospheric, intriguing, and story-driven. The visual needed to capture a sense of mystery and tension while remaining clear and impactful across both static and motion formats.

Visual Direction

Atmosphere, contrast, and cinematic tone

The visual system uses high contrast, dark tones, and focused lighting to create a cinematic feel. Typography plays a key role in setting the mood, working alongside subtle texture and depth to build tension and intrigue. The motion component extends this atmosphere, reinforcing the narrative through pacing and visual transitions.

Reflection

What I learned through this project

This project helped me explore how motion and static design can work together to build a stronger visual story. It pushed me to think more intentionally about mood, pacing, and how typography and imagery can create a more immersive experience.
